Astronaut Chris Cassidy visits NERVE Center 4/4/14

Astronaut Christopher Cassidy – who completed two missions on the International Space Station and served as an elite Navy SEAL commander – met with UMass Lowell students at New England Robotic Validation and Experimentation (NERVE) Center at UMass Lowell on April 4, 2104. The students won a national NASA contest last year that challenged them to design and build a Mars rover-style robot – nicknamed the “Rover Hawk” – and operate it remotely on terrain that mimicked the surface of another planet.
